So as I'm becoming more serious about turning photography into a career, I want to acquire a comperable laptop or desktop (mac or pc) so that I may develop and tweak photos in a semi-professional level. I'm still new to everything, aside from still-life, event, and even low-light shooting, and I would love to hear what my fellow-photogs use for all their photo needs. I currently do not have a working computer, but I was previously using a Gateway T-series laptop that was very basic in terms of processing, speed, memory, and graphics (integrated FTMFL). I want to move up to something much better, like a MacBook Pro 17 inch with 2.8GHz and 4GB memory, but I'm beginning to feel that is overkill at this stage in development. Please let me in on some of your own experiences and advice on a comparable computer to process studio-quality images for a budget-bending student.
P.S. I'm willing to do photoshoots for anyone needing exposure! Help me get my name out. =D |

| I've been a PC guy since as long I can remember, but either the PC or Mac would be a good choice I believe but Mac more pricey relatively to PC's. Just check slickdeals.net for daily deals on Laptops... they always have atleast 1 or 2 laptops on sale a week. |

I just got in contact with my good friend again. He works for some Laptop company. Just last week he showed me a Laptop that he'd sell me for $200. He asked me to spread the word and help give him some business. I'm sure not all Laptops would be that cheap, but could almost say they'd be alot cheaper than Fry's or BestBuy.
Holla! |
